2-CAVITY IML AUTOMATION PROJECT IN INDONESIA


HecosTech has completed the commissioning of a 2-cavity IML robot system in Indonesia. The system is used for automated food container production with a production cycle of approximately 14 seconds.

This customer project was developed for automated food container production in Indonesia using a 2-cavity injection mold.

The IML robot automatically handles label placement and finished product takeout in coordination with the injection molding machine.

After installation and commissioning, the system is now operating with a production cycle of approximately 14 seconds.

How Does the 2-Cavity IML Robot Work?

The IML robot handles labels for both mold cavities and places them inside the mold as part of the in-mold labeling process before injection molding.

After molding, the robot removes the two finished containers and transfers them to the next production stage, completing automatic label placement and product takeout within the production cycle.

14-Second Cycle for Food Container Production

After commissioning in Indonesia, the system operates with a production cycle of approximately 14 seconds for the customer’s food container product.

This 2-cavity configuration allows two containers to be produced during each molding cycle while the robot coordinates label handling and product takeout with the injection molding process.
